The Lauderdale Hotel is a family owned and operated hotel located in the Royal and Ancient Burgh of Lauder on the A68 just 25 miles south of Edinburgh. Situated in large private gardens, the hotel offers guests a warm and welcoming base to explore the many attractions and activities available in the Scottish Borders whilst being close enough to the nations capital to explore all that Edinburgh has to offer.

Historic Area

Originally built in the late 19th century the Lauderdale Hotel is the oldest continually operating hotel in the area, having started life as a ‘Temperance House’ and is just one of a number of historic buildings in the immediate area.

Easily Accessible

Easily reached from both Edinburgh airport to the North and Newcastle airport to the South the hotel is also a stones throw from the new Borders railway station at Stow, a little over five miles away. Taxi transport can be arranged through the hotel with a trusted local business that provide excellent rates to our guests. The Hotel is also situated on the Southern Upland Way and regularly welcomes walkers on the route.
